10.5 weeks...

This little doll is the exact representation of a 10-week old baby in the womb.  The hand in the picture is mine.  So, this is about what our little 10.5 week-old baby currently looks like.

Amazing!
Provides such a visual aide to the scripture from Psalm 139: "You created my inmost being.  You knit me together in my mother's womb."

Currently, as this baby is being knit-together by God in my womb, it is making its presence very known.  I have strong aversion to certain foods, strong cravings for other foods, all-day-long nausea, and strong fatigue.  Other than that, the doctor tells us everything is grrreat.

We got an early ultrasound and saw the beautiful, rapid heartbeat. 170-something beats per minute.  Due date July 20, 2016.

I am 80% excited and 20% nervous.  Nick is his normal, solid, steady, calm, and wonderful self :)

Looooong Overdue Update

If you'll notice the date of my last blog, it was Sunday, March 30, 2014.  The photo and post were made just hours before I went into labor with Jordan.  He was not due until April 12, but unbeknownst to us, he would begin his way into the world at about 2:30 a.m. Monday morning.  I delivered a glory-to-God healthy baby boy by 7:30 a.m. Monday morning.  It was all very fast and very painful, yet I really really really couldn't have possibly wished for it to go any better.  God made his presence known to Nick and I during the entire experience, and our time with our new baby boy and our family and friends during those first days in the hospital was precious.

This is all so sweet to remember now.................BECAUSE WE'RE GONNA DO IT ALL AGAIN!!!

Baby Galyen #2: due July 20, 2016.

I'll do a first-post about the new baby-to-be.  And I'll plan to post updates about my pregnancy as much as possible along the way so that those of you whom we love (but don't get to see enough) can keep up with progress.

But.......before I do all of that......I must post a few pictures of our beautiful Jordan Andrew Galyen. Born March 31, 2014.  His first 21 months have been so so blessed, and we will always love him beyond words.
